hi folks
GMP stands for good manufacturing practices. There are two levels of GMP, GMP for food and GMP for paharmaceuticals. GMP for food has to comply with practically nothing according to the FDA. The same laws governing the manufacture of pizza govern the manufacture of food grade supplement. By FDA law there is a requirement of 10% (15% in Canada) of the active ingredient that is stated on the bottle to be in the bottle and the ingredients do not have to be able to be dissolved let alone assimilatable to the body. The FDA law for GMP of pharmaceuticals ensures stated potency, purity and dissilution. Big difference.
