me...so...OOIIIILLLYYYY!!!!!(you get oily too)

I just made my own skin cream! :D It's EASY!!!! It looks like fine lustrous pearls, luxurious, silky oil.........and it's PURE!!! No artificial nuttin! :)

Here's the recipe, this is from Dina Falconi's "Earthly Bodies and Heavenly Hair" GREAT BOOK!!! BUY IT!

6 oz liquid oil(I used macadamia nut)
3 oz solid oil(I used coconut)
1 oz. beeswax
9 oz distilled water

Basically, watcha do is, in a glass 16 oz(with oz. marks) measuring cup, pour the 6 oz of liquid oil. Add solid oil until total volume reaches 9 oz. mark. add beeswax until total volume reaches 10 oz mark. Place cup in a pan partially filled with water(medium heat), stir and heat until solids melt. Remove from heat and let cool to body temp.

place 9 oz. distilled water in a measuring cup and heat til it reaches body temp.

Then you can use a blender, food processor, or hand mixer to mix. I used a hand mixer...EMULSIFICATION! Took about 2 mins...at that point you can stir in some essential oils(I used lemongrass & basil). I also added a teaspoon of grapefruit seed extract as a preservative...

Then pour into jars with tight-fitting lids, leave overnight to set. Leave as little airspace as possible. Store out of direct heat and sunlight...

I "scraped the bowl" and used the cream. It feels mahvelous, dahlinks! And it smells good, too! :)

I LOOOOVE zees OIL!
