"others may, but you cannot" The teaching in this is very profound

this is what I have *heard*, when I've once or twice asked for true blessing or not on a certain involvement, one that appeared to my eyes to be  'spiritually-based.'  The answer was, what may not be a wound against the spirit for them, would, for you. I'm glad you brought it up: you remind me of the way the path has straightened these last years--so much seems now natural to me, that once would have been unimaginable.

This sort of life is not for the many...but I agree with the poster who spoke of the joy of God, that comes with devotion. It really is beyond measure, and what I've seen is that all others ARE there also, it's only that they don't (yet) know it. In other words, the desire, the longing is dissolving. We long for the union with Light and mostly mistake joining with another for that. But to join means first you must believe in separation. Easy to make such mistakes, once we have accepted the "so-called reality" that each of us is "alone". That's not God's Truth, though it is the position of many who call themselves Spiritual--who really wish only to "experience" others--not God. They are still at war.
