Thank you for your replies. I shall start again in the morning. I would love to get my Amalgams removed, but the cost of living steadily rising in the UK (everything has gone up except our income), makes this prohibitive.

I shall heed your advice and watch for any negative signs, but I am, for now, excited at the prospect of OPing myself to renewed vigour!
