HA! You just reminded me of a squirrel incident we had here...we have a young orchard...one day a ground sqirrel came onto our property and was running from tree to tree....(not a WHOLE lot of sqirrels around here, we're high desert)...checking things out. Weeelll, our resident birds actually ATTACKED that squirrel! They were actually kind of rolling on the ground with him(starlings, I think...). They chased him off the property and down the road!

It was quite hilarious... :)

Now, I know that our lovely birdies were merely protecting the harvest for themselves....hmmmm...

BTW, I've used a mixture of garlic, cayenne, any sort of hot sauce,water, blended it and DUMPED(clogs the sprayer) it on ripening melons. It detered whatever was sampling(mebbe a cute lil ole skunk?)
