When I used to use Julia Chang's liver tinctures she would spend some time talking to me every time I ordered from her. She explained to me several times why Liver Flushing helps your thyroid, even hypothyroid, but I can't remember how she explained it. Traditional Chinese medicine is very different from typical Western explanations, and so I have a hard time remembering the theory behind it. I had told her that I have underactive thyroid and she told me to also take some dulse every day. Not too much as to overdo it, though. I use Modifilan, and if I'm consistent with it, it definitely helps. I don't do Liver Flushes very often because they make me sick, though, but other things I am doing for my liver seem to be helping. The thing that I most recently am doing, which is getting out heavy metals and chemicals, is helping a lot. Heavy metals and even too many minerals can be one cause of hypothyroid.
