well, you have brought up two questions are are still ananswered. col rao says none of the oil soaks in, but i dont believe that. which constituents and how much is soaking in is another story. so, is it a food being used like this?

second, we have not determined the reason why refined oil is called for. is it to remove potential toxins or is it to give the oil certain properties?

i think the two are related. my best guess is that refined oil is less likely to soak in and more available to attach to toxins. otoh, many of us, myself included, have done quite well pulling with unrefined oils, though we have made sure they are organic as much as possible. i dont take a chance. i mix refined and unrefined oils together and pull with that. i feel really good.
