Judging from the example that you gave (candy/supervisors office) it sounds like maybe you say things that are inappropriate at that particular time/place although it WOULD be appropriate at a DIFFERENT time or place. So MAYBE....your problem isn't so much "talking crazy" as it is a matter of not paying attention to what is going on in the present moment or place...?
