Re: Appalachian Life

Thanks for that info. I plan on getting into the Foxfire books and cooking. I am into traditional foods, so this is the perfect place for me to be. BTW, I think lard is good. Already, I have found some old cookware here at the campground where I am renting a cabin.

The trees are life to me. They give me life. I can breathe better here in the mountain because of them. I am staying in a little rustic cabin on a river right now. There is snow on the ground. I just heard one of my neighbors yell and take off in their truck. Ah, mountain life, ya gotta love it. The fire makes it worth it and the sound of the river. I think the place may have a ghost since it was built in the 40's and I heard strange sounds last night.

Mystical Appalachia.
