Re: My water distiller has arrived

My distilled water started getting a rather funky taste for the first time ever. When I looked inside the boiler I noticed a different kind of sediment, a rather sticky red mess that clung to the sides of the jug. After a thorough cleaning with vinegar and a good rinsing, the water has gone back to its fresh taste. Since your unit is new, it may still be leeching out some chemicals. Try a good cleansing though, even if it doesn't need it. I love the fresh pure taste of distilled water, I can't even stand the smell of tap water now, much less the taste. Tweet
