Re: zapper/placebo - suggestions!

All treatments usually have an associated placebo effect to some degree. This effect varies in an unpredictable manner from person to person. It is a cruel hoax of nature.
The influence of placebo is one of the reasons that we have randomised double BLIND trial for new therapies. Some people see placebo as valuable in that they claim that it can be manipulated into a form of "positive thinking" which supposedly has benefits. I regard placebo as an irritation and an obstacle to objectivity. Homeopathy relies on it,and you can observe it in yourself in this way - if you have ever started a new treatment and quickly felt better for a few days or weeks and then the symptoms return. That is our old friend Placebo at work !
