Re: How many times per day is it normal to urinate?

Just throwin this out there along with all the other good commentary you've gotten so far. This info by way of Doctor Mom, BTW. In one of her seminar videos, she sort of informally discussed dehydration in practical, lay terms, as far as what this condition really is. A lot of people have been conditioned to think of "dehydrated" as "you are thirsty regardless of whether or not your sense of thirst is getting this signal through to your awareness". Mom discusses this from a simplistic cellular-level perspective, in that being dehydrated implies that many if not most of the various cells making up you are not getting enough H20. This in turn tends to make for sluggish cells. When a chronically dehydrated person attempts a simple method to overcome this health problem - by regularly taking in more clean water on a daily basis, such as by literally drinking more water OR taking in more live foods (fruits, vegetables that naturally contain water) you should expect to be heading to the bathroom on a regular basis, for a while. Apparently, upon first becomign dehydrated, your cells adaptto this condition. As a result, they may tend to be a little slow on the uptake if/when the underlying condition is changed IE> you start to take in more water.... it will take some time (difficult to be exact or specific) for your cells to again readjust, adapt, and eventually (it is hoped) gradually begin to absorb more and more of the water you give them rather than passing it near directly in one end and out the other, causing you to "go" so often. In other words, it's a matter of time and this problem should improve on it's own.
