Re: Lavendar oil works for burns.
Hi Tisha:
Thanks for sharing your experiences on using EO’s on burns. When I was first starting to learn about herbalism and natural healing from
Dr. Schulze , (in the Sam Biser tapes) I found that he recommends fresh aloe filets. But those are not always available. Then one day, I was helping a friend heat and bend a piece of metal. I was helping to hold it, and he was using an acetylene torch to heat it. The metal slipped and the blue flame of the torch moved right onto the ends of two of my fingers. I moved them rather quickly, to say the least. But the damage had already been done. The skin was white, and blistered up into very large blisters that looked like melted plastic, and the pain was almost unbearable. Anyway, my friend took out his pocket knife and walked over to a Nopalli plant (sometimes called prickly pear cactus) and cut off a pedal. He fileted it and pushed the soggy filet onto my fingers, and tied it on with an old rag. Not very sanitary, but the pain went away very quickly. I left it all on my fingers, old rag and everything, overnight. The next day when I removed it, it was well on it’s way to being healed. My friend had given another filet of Nopalli to make into gel packs. Whick I used for several days. And within a week, it was completely healed. Nopalli filets are my number one way to treat a burn. Since that day, I make up Nopalli gel pack and keep them in the freezer. They’re easy to make and they work wonders on burns.
The problem is, Nopalli’s are not always available. And when I read your post about using EO’s on burns, I thought now there’s something that I can have anywhere. What a wonderful idea. And you don’t sound like a novice to me. You sound like one experienced person. Thanks again.
Good Health and keep posting,
Tracy
