Getting Prepped for MC and LF Question...
I did quit smoking cold turkey. I have tried to cut down on smoking prior to quiting in the past with little success. I did get a lot of help from about.com. They have a free smoking cessation program that I found very useful. I mostly used it to do a lot of reading. They have a lot of information there. They also offer a lot of encouragement. It is (for smoking) a lot like this is (for MCing). I also used nicorette gum for 3 days. I didn't like it much so I only chewed 2 or 3 pieces a day. The package says that most people use 10-16 pieces a day. I couldn't do that. It's almost been 6 months for me and I don't miss cigarettes one bit. I am sure that I am completely done with them for good! I think the smoking cessation forum on about.com had a lot to do with that.
As far as starting the MC goes, Dec 1st may be a good time for me. I'm not sure yet. I think I want to start with the Liver Flush first, as I trust that Hops has a lot of knowledge and I'm listening. Whether I start at the same time as you or not - it will be close. I would love to be co-encouragers with you regardless.
I have to look at a calendar to really decide when to start the MC. It takes me one hour in the car to get to work each day - Monday-Friday, 8-5. So, the LF will need to be something I do on a weekend - so if I'm doing that first... I wonder... is it okay to do the LF and then start the MC the very next day? I wish I had a calendar handy. I'll look at one tomorrow at work. I need to go ahead and set a date and get this whole thing scheduled out. I believe I will be more likely to succeed if I - not only have all of the supplies that I need, but a well thought out schedule, as well.
I'm starting to get excited about this. Making a date is the first step, really. Okay, I'll work on figuring it out.
