I am also rooting for you. I think everyone here has done varying degrees of irresponsible harm to their bodies. It makes the benefits of the MC more apparent in us. I quit smoking on June 3rd. I've quit smoking several times throughout my almost 43 years. This time was different. Although I have not been an active participant on this board since June, I have been reading for a lot of that time. Just reading has helped me to be more conscious of my health and taking better care of my body. I have attempted the MC one time. I was able to accomplish 2 1/2 days - easily. Then I gave in to Dr and family pressure to discontinue. I will be taking on the MC again after Thanksgiving. This time I will not be swayed by well meaning family, friends or physicians. I will succeed.
When I went to the Dr, she found that my Cholesterol was high and recommended medication. I declined and said I would rather change my diet. That is what I plan to do. I have another Dr's appointment (to recheck my Cholesterol) in January. By then I will have done the MC and liver flush and hopefully I will be able to show my skeptic Dr and family that the MC really does work... with medical tests to prove it.
