re: walnut oil

Thanks Sandy~!

I admit, after first reading your post, I had twinges
of concern. I decided though to do some research and
yee-haw, the benefits of Walnut Oil were plentiful and
appealing.

In the oil department walnut oil is one of the richest sources
of omega 3. So not only is walnut oil a delicious product for
your culinary needs, it also has significant health benefits.
Throughout the ages, walnut oil has been thought to be a cure
for many ailments, including stomach and skin problems,
tuberculosis, hair loss, diabetes, and various sexual
afflictions. Walnut oil is one of richest sources of
polyunsaturated fat in nature (72% by content, representing
60% linolenic acid and 12% alpha-linolenic acid for a 5:1 ratio).
Since the oil is not refined, it has a very high level of
natural anti-oxidants.

real nice post on benefits of different oils, walnut at the bottom

I look forward to popping the lid on my walnut oil, ALSO trying
some of the many other oils. Looks like I may have to start collecting!

blessings,
Zoe
