It seems that Ketosis and especially DKA are considered bad. I have experienced first hand the tremendous energy levels and overall toning (never been a heavy guy, but I have gotten down to athletic levels of body fat by maintaining ketosis).
My question is this - you state that ketosis would require a lot of alkalizing minerals. I usually achieve and maintain ketosis by eating nothing but avocados, spinach, celery, sprouts, etc. So would be achieving and maintaing ketosis through this method be favorable?
I am not sure if you can back up the claim that ketones are the bodies and brains favored source of energy? Any truth to that? If not, why do I have such good energy, drive, determination whilst in ketosis (after the dreaded first three days mind you).
