Re: gluten intolerance

My friend a Lt Col in the airfoce and a RPH is doing a study with the military on diabetes (Type 2)

She explained to me, on a long drive ,that gluten "fools" the body- it does not know how to digest it,either as protein or as a carb

This plays havoc with the digestive juices (acidity) and then digestive processes and insulin. She highly recommended to read labels on all "processed grains" many breads and pastas have gluten added back in as a filler. I went down to whole foods and found she was correct

Many products such as Ezekial breads do not- but there is still the resistance to many grains in our reactions

And of course all breads that have risen have yeast.

I remember spending 1 week at Hippocrates, (and the endless wheatgrass juice- in every orifice) the taste buds had already adjusted to cleaner foods...less processed

We are redoing our landscaping in the front yard and I have laid out a spot for a vegetable garden-and I am going back to growing my own- just like the 70's.
