I used Soy Sauce right after I realized that I had been out in the sun too long. Every area that I applied the Soy Sauce was fine the next day. I missed an area on my back by the next day it had turned pink, was tender, and later pealed.
I burned my finger while ironing one day. It was very painful and thought about trying the Soy Sauce. I dipped my finger in a small container with the Soy Sauce and got instant relief. This was rather acquired. So, I soaked the pad of a band-aid with the Soy Sauce and then placed it over the burned spot. The relief continued. I kept the band-aid on though the night. If the skin was not in contact with the Soy Sauce, the pain returned. The next day there was no pain and no blister.
Holding Soy Suace in the mouth helps repair a burned tongue.
I have also succefully used Tamari in place of Soy Sauce.
