Re: what does it mean to turn rocks into gEm stones?
On a vibratory level, rocks/gemstones, can be used in one's healing work. In the past Kings wore crowns encrusted with gemstones to improve their resonance with their higher power. Priests wore gems in breastplates for the same reason. It is the same with plants, herbs, certainly flowers. For example, rose oil is of such a high vibration, most dis-ease cannot exisit in its presence. We, humans, are vibratory creatures and so using flowers, essential oils, rocks and gemstones, if we create a resonance with them, they can make us feel better, shift energetically, uplift us, amp or dampen our energetic field, promote healing.
These are metaphysical concepts but just like prayer has been scientifically proven to work, gemstones have proven to oscillate at uniform frequencies, and have been collected and an appreciation refined over the ages. Of course, death and destruction can also be blamed on the relationship as well, as the warring in Africa over diamonds demonstrates.
On another level, we are made of the same stuff of rocks and so turning a rock into a gem would have another deeper metaphysical meaning...the quest of many an alchemist and shaman...
