question about flush in progress

I'm on my second flush and noticed small red sticklike things coming out into the toilet. They are about 1/2 to 1 cm long kind of like a tomato peel wrapped around itself. I haven't eaten tomatoes for a very long time. no stones yet but am curious as to what these things are. Thanks to anyone who could shed some light. Tweet
