Re: Finding a product with a brix rating! + edit

I didn’t want to jump the gun on this until I was able to verity some BRIX readings myself. However, since were on the subject I might have found another good source of high BRIX food.

I was just looking through this “gift” catalog when I noticed that this picture of an orange. See it had this “star” shape coming from the top of it. Like I’ve read about good quality lemons having. This “gift” company specializes in mail ordering high quality fruits picked ripe, mostly apples and pears.

Now assuming that these are good quality and really are picked ripe, this might be a possible source of some Top Quality foods. Again, I’d like to BRIX test myself to be sure as their packages are surly not cheap! But this is a quote directly from a similar web site:

“The quality of the fruit is fabulous; the pressure is firm, the sugar brix are high, pulling from the nutrient-rich volcanic soils. “

So my test is on its way. My expatiations are high and I’ll be sure to let you all know what I find.

Lastly, I agree with the needing to try to spread the word. I will be letting all companies that I test fruit from know what will keep me buying their product and how I feel that they should stress and advertise BRIX. That is, if indeed they do have it…
