Ummm…guys, I don’t think he was suggesting that the Betagel should be applied either routinely or as a maintenance treatment; it sounded like the steroid would only have to be used for a short duration, during which time the lips would hopefully heal. I agree that topical steroid are, generally speaking, not something that should be applied with any regularity, but in this circumstance (and in any similar situation) I’d be willing to take my chances with short-term use (obviously, if the gel does indeed contain something that one would be allergic too, then the abovementioned statements do not apply).
