Re: intrested in taking coconut oil
You should work your way up to 3 tbsp of coconut oil a day. That is the recommended dosage. Don't start with that right off the bat. I would start with maybe 1/2 tbsp and then slowly work up to 3 tbsp. If you start with 3 right away you could have a die off effect from detoxing too quickly which could result in flu like symptoms, headaches,
Acne or other ailments. If you do experience these things it's okay b/c it means that the oil is doing what it's supposed to be doing which is killing all the bacteria, fungus and detoxing your organs. These things will go away if they do happen so don't worry. If you start small you shouldn't even experience these at all. Coconut oil is great. I love cooking with it and don't use anything else. I use it in place of butter and oil. I also use it as a moisturizer for my body and face and occasionally I will leave it in my hair for a little while before showering.
I can't honestly tell you anything about eczema but I can say that since we have started cooking with it my husband has not gotten any cold sores on his lips. He has gone 5 1/2 months without one, which I think is unusual for him. Since we have been together he has gotten one or more every couple months. I think he normally gets them more in the winter so we will have to see since it is getting to be about that time. Neither one of us has been sick this summer at all and I normally get atleast one sinus infection or cold during that time. Everyone is always telling me I am crazy for using VCO and that my cholesterol is going to go up and I will gain weight. I've been using it for over 6 months and I haven't gained an ounce, I've lost weight actually. I've always battled with weight. I am not a heavy person but if I don't watch what I eat and I eat fattening things I will pack it on. If this stuff was sooo fattening and aweful for me then I would be an elephant by now. Not even an ounce....
So I hope this helps you. Definitely only buy organic VCO. Good luck and I hope you love it as much as I do.
Many Blessings,
Melissa
