I have a sleep study scheduled for this Friday. They told me to get there at 8:30pm, be asleep by 10:30 or 11pm, and leave at 5:30 am. I plan to be up early that day and won't have any caffeine so that hopefully I'll be really tired by the time 10pm rolls around. My mom and brother have also had sleep studies. They both said that it's hard to sleep with all of the wires. However, it did lead to my mom getting a diagnosis of sleep apnea. Now that she has the CPAP machine, she isn't falling asleep during the day and feels much more rested in general, so I think it's worth it to put up with the inconvenience if you think you may have sleep apnea. Besides, sleep apnea can actually be dangerous.
