Re: Help for swollen eyes
Hi! Everyone here has good points to offer-- I'd try all of the suggestions, as they are all tied in together.
Lack of sleep also lowers the immune system, and I believe it is the Root Cause of your swollen eyes.
I remember reading of one doctor who had insomnia, and it turned out it was the electrical magnetic energy coming from all of his electronics, or everyday electric things in his home. He ended up having to shut the breaker off , turning all the power off in his home before going to bed. It worked! He was able to sleep like a baby.
Do not keep an electric radio or even an electric alarm clock near your bed. Keep everything electric away from your sleeping area- Everybody has an electic magnetic field that gets bombarded from the electric magnetic energy that emits from computers, tv's, etc-- this is called, "Electric Magnetic Chaos". Even when your computer is shut off- it still emits this for several hours. This keeps us from entering a deep sleep.
You also may want to get a magnetic mattress pad. I use a $30.00 one I got from an Avon catalog and it helps me.
In regards to light- even the smallest light (especially a blue light) has been found to keep a person awake.
In the morning when waking up, you may want to drink a big glass of warm/hot water with fresh lemon squeezed in it. It has a cleansing flush reaction to the body's organs and rids the body of too much water retention (swollen eyes)
Melatonin and Valerian are two natural herbs/nutrients that you can even purchase in tea form. I have found by accident that Valerian makes me extreemly tired. I used it for something else and hadnt known it makes you sleepy!
IF your seratonin levels are too low, you could also have a hard time falling asleep as well-- try to get enough sunlight on you daily and in the Winter , use those full spectrum light bulbs. It will build back normal amounts of seratonin in your body-which will also help rid your insomnia!
