What about during the winter?

I think I'll look for a pair of 'beach' Crocs. But what do you guys (and gals) do during the winter? It's already getting cold here in the Northeast. Do you go barefoot at home when it's freezing cold (my house doesn't heat well either, so it's even colder than you might expect)? Do you wear socks or does that defeat the purpose of going barefoot?
