Okay, I guess they could. But it'd be a stretch. I was never a birkenstock's person either. Didn't like the heavy on the heel position, and my foot is quite narrow. (but my toes are not cramped.)

It looks like almost everyone around here is wearing them--just this part year, especially rather heavy-set males who tend to be glued to a cell phone, wheeling and dealing. Can anyone recommend something more natural--and with texture. Maybe in hemp? Something not made for a really wide foot? ( I was a form of gazelle in a significant other life)
