Glad to have you back!
I've learned SO MUCH, and so much from you in particular, over the last three weeks. I've also learned so much about myself, which is amazing and unexpected!
I've been fasting between bit events that I need to eat at. For the last three weeks, that's meant generally fasting during the "work week" and generally transitioning during the "week end."
I find that I don't have a choice regarding length of fast. For me not to acknowledge that I'd want/need to eat at a family wedding reception would be setting myself up to fail, and since I see this as a life long process of overall health, etc, I'm taking it in bits. I'm breaking my fast at some point today and will be in transition which includes some
juicing until Wednesday afternoon, at which time I'll go back into complete juice fast mode.
Now, in answer to specific questions:
Do you think you are losing weight effectively this way?
I do. Three weeks ago, I was forcing myself into a size 18 suit, which was tight. Yesterday, I wore a size 14 suite which was roomy. I've also been fitting into shoes I couldn't fit into before (but could years ago). I've begun to notice some cheek bones. Also, my wedding band has gotten loser on my ring finger - it used to be tight, and now it's lose!
Are you keeping it off?

I know that you have "no scale" but can you tell your losing better this way?
I can tell that I'm losing weight. Clothing size and looseness has spoken volumes to me. Yesterday I put on a pair of black sweat pants that I run to the post box in, and accidentally noticed in a full length mirror that, instead of looking painted on (like they used to), they were REALLY BAGGY! I stood in shocked silence for a bit on that one.
Is it hard to start every Monday?
I find that it's actually difficult to continue transitioning, since as soon as a meal is over I want to go back on the juice fast. Also, my tummy is so much smaller that I cannot really eat very much while transitioning. You may recall that my last transition lasted only 1.5 days...it's because I was into getting back to juice fasting.
Right now, I'm having a difficult bit because I'm PMSing and want to eat crunchy stuff. I'm hoping apples on the transition will help and that I don't fall into a Cheeto bag. :-)
