UNYQUITY HAS SPOKEN; ONE PLAN CURES ALL!(in ten minutes I'm going to regret writing this, sigh)

Uniquity,
I respect your vast knowledge, and your good heart. I've even asked for your advice.

I called a friend, asked her if she would read your post, and talk to me about it tomorrow, because

1)I knew what I'd be "ruminating about tonight" among other things
2)she admires Dr. Shultz
3)She has been my neighbor and my walking partner for 6 or 7 years (the depressions blur the years for me) she knows how long she has put up with me as a neighbor
4) She won't be afraid to give me her honest opinion, especially if I've asked for it.
5)tonight when/if I'm not sleeping, I'll use as a mantra "this can wait for tomorrow, this can wait for tomorrow. Your need only to sleep". well, I can try.

The little kid in me wants to stick out my tongue and say things like "If I'm a manic, then look in the mirror, so are you". "Takes one to know one" "You don't have a clue what you are talking about". "You may know a lot about health but not much about dealing with people" "Why don't YOU go train with Dr. Shultz since you know it all"

The older part of me says, "Some of it could be true. You must always be open to possibilites" "Unyquity has been sharing and wise with many people" and "It just might be true".

I've got to leave for my acupuncture apt. You know, she'd do it for free if I told her today that I didn't have any money. She practically does. You don't know enough to make the kind of judgments you are making.

I've heard Dr. Shultz is very straight-forward and blunt, and perhaps you are emulating him. BUT YOU AREN"T HIM. And, believe it or not, one size does not fit all. You may even be right--I'll admit that possibility. But I doubt it. If there is one thing I am in the process of learning, it is one size doesn't fit all, that we each have our lessons to learn, and that getting well over the long haul involves body, mind, and soul. I don't have time to figure it out, but your reply was more hurtful than helpful at this point. Now I am late.

pj
(sorry neighbor, I TRIED to let it go, but it was eating at me already. And I don't even have time to figure out right now why. )
