Re: how long is too long?

Dogs are social animals and I believe that they should not be left alone on a regular basis when the owner works. Does anyone feed or walk the puppy as 10 hours is too long to go (regularly) without attention and walks at any age?

A solution could be to get another dog as a companion and arrangae for someone to sit or at the very least call round to feed and walk the dogs.

It is obvious that you love your dog very much and as his "pack leader" he ralies on you to provide food and company. I'm sure you will be able to find a solution that is best for him.

PS. I am from the UK and do not understand this "crating" idea. Does this mean that you lock a dog in a cage all day? This is not something we do here.
