can i be alkaline if...i want to build muscle?

hey everyone...

ok so i am already eating a relatively alkaline diet (water with salt, organic vegies, juices etc)but i am going to uni again at the begining of october and want to join the gym to get a bit bigger and muscular. this will mean i will have to increase protein consumption. is this healthy and if so is a good quality whey protein or hemp powder ok to supplement?? is anyone on here familiar with Creatine powder? is it ok for me to use that or is it a no - no? i guess really what i am saying is can the alkaline diet be used in conjunction with going to the gym and building muscle?? i know alot of ''Hardcore'' (i wouldnt be one) gymers eat alot of red meat etc which is acidic but do u need this to grow muscle??

any thoughts are most welcome
