Day 4

Day 3 was really hard, and in the process of making it through, I learned some really valuable lessons.

My husband and I ran a bunch of errands and did a ton of walking yesterday. So I got juice 1 hour after my body told me to, and I didn't eat anything, and 5 minutes after drinking the juice, I was okay and not needing food.

Lesson learned:
I realized that as soon as my body says "I need juice/water/etc", I must immediately try to get juice/water/etc. If I let it sit for even 20 minutes, my brain starts to freak out and think of breaking fast. I now realize that I must listen to my body more and that it will take care of me.

Then last night, from 6 pm on I was SO wanting to EAT FOOD. Huasband had been supportive and I wasn't even hungry - I just wanted FOOD. But I didn't. I sat there and thought about what a good alternative would be. I walked into pantry and decided herbal tea could do the trick. And you know what? It did! I also talked a lot to myself walking my way through how I wasn't hungry and how my body was trying to sabotage itself. I feel pretty proud of myself that I made it through. :-)

Lesson learned:
I do have the will power for this.

Today (Day 4) has been a bit easier than yesterday. It's already 12:26 and I've not really had the need to eat anything. My tummy just started to grumble, so I'll have some ACV/water and apple juice before running a couple of errands. Juice and low sodium broth really help me significantly.

I feel generally clear headed now, whereas the clarity used to feel like it was around the edges of my consciousness for the first three days. Husband seems to be more on board with the juice fast than he was with the water fast. I also seem much more productive.

Question: There's this bottled juice at a local grocery store with lots of good stuff in it. It's by "Naked". The only problem is that it has some banana juice in it too. Should I not drink that juice because of the banana juice? Or is banana juice okay if it's with apple/cranberry/carrot/etc?
