Fruits are acceptable, but only on two conditions:
1. Fruit should ONLY BE EATEN ON A EMPTY STOMACH. Ever. (Even people not suffering from candida should follow this). Otherwise, it will ferment with the food you have eaten prior to it. Eating fruit as desert, at the end of a meal is a very bad idea. Guaranteed bloating
2. Fruit should ONLY BE EATEN IN THE MORNING. Fruit is nature's cleanser. Your body cleanses itself between 4 am and noon. Therefore by eating fruit and only fruit before noon you are helping your body cleanse itself and eliminate wastes. When consumed in this way, fruit is actually a very good tool to assit your body in fighting candida. It's not a good idea to eat other types of food before noon because you will interfer in you body's cleansing and elimination cycle. It will have to expend energy on the digestion of more solid foods, instead of exclusively focusing on cleansing. In the morning, I only eat fruit and drink hearbal teas and lemon juice mixed with hot water. This was recommended to me by a holistic doctor who is a candida specialist, and so far it has really worked for me.
Basically, eat fruit only in the morning and never mix it with other types of foods and you should be fine. In this way it is very easy to digest and feels very healing.
