I've only done 2 flushes, both were amazing successes. I don't collect the stones but I'm sure the first flush yielded 100-200. The stones were smaller as were quantities of stone and sludge with the second.
First, I had been cleaning out parasites for months before the flush. Experienced flushers say that if you have parasities you will not release stones. Get a good product to kill parasites throughout the body. I like Intestenal Freedom, available from http://www.herbalhealer.com. Also, you have to first clean out impacted fecal matter from your colon. parasites live in the hardened layers. Many colon cleansing products contain herbs that will also kill them.
Second, I took malic acid for at least week before each flush. I used the malic acid formula made by Solaray. Solaray uses high quality ingredients that are always in gelatin caps. Their Malic Acid blend has mega levels of Magnesium, Thiamine, B-6, along with a proprietary herb blend. The Solaray blend also has 1200 mg of Malic Acid, so you only have to take 2 capsules per day.
I am posting a link to a website I used to understand the flushing process and the procedure I followed. http://healthychristianliving.com/liver_cleanse.htm
I followed this procedure carefully, using organic fresh lemon juice and olive oil in separate cups. However I think you can start the flush on a day when you're active, as long as you follow the diet restrictions. If you pass stones, you will definitely need the second day to rest.
Where I experienced problems was after the first flush. My liver released toxins that caused fatigue, skin eruptions and kidney pain. Be prepared to take liver herbs and kidney teas. (I used milk thistle for the liver, AKN, by Nature's Way for the liver and skin, and Watermelon seed tea, for the kidneys.)
