Day 3

Hi all,

Today is day 3. Fast seems to have eveolved into a juice fast. Here's what I've been drinking:

water
lemon juice in water
raw apple cider vinegar (ACV) in water
tea (herbal & black) with lemon wedge
beef broth (low sodium)
apple juice
carrot juice (diluted with water)

I don't feel like I need chewable food; at least that's what I'm telling myself right now. I do get hunger pangs now and then, but move past them.

Husband got really nervous yesterday that I was not eating any food, even salad. He said I was getting really indecisive (I'm known for being opinionated), quiet and hazy. He seems to be okay with me doing it for one day, but was really trying to ambush me yesterday from noon to 6 pm, trying to get me to eat ANYTHING healthy. Any advice on how to deal with this?

I don't feel like I've lost weight. Remember, I don't have a scale, so it's all by looking at myself in the mirror and feeling if certain wobbly bits feel smaller, as well as clothing fit. Everything pretty much feels the same bloat-wise. Basically, I've been feeling bloated for the entire past year, when I've also packed on about 20 pounds.

Yesterday evening, I had ACV/water and carrot juice/water within a half hour (6 glasses of water and other substances). I felt SOOO BLOATED. Good grief, my abdomen stuck out in all directions....sigh.

I'm really hoping that juice fasting allows me to lose weight. How stinky would it be if I did this for a number of days and GAIN weight because of the calories or something in the juices??? Sigh...

I've noticed better brain clarity today, and I've also been able to write. I'm supposed to be getting 25 pages of a manuscript to an agent. It's a novel and the outline, query etc rock. I'm about 6 months late on the 25 pages, but he keeps saying to send it to him when it's ready and he'll go from there. Yes, he really wants to see the manuscript, so it's not "applying" blind. Sigh...I keep trying to motivate myself, but for 6 months (and most of life actually), I haven't been able to FOCUS and CONCENTRATE.

I was thinking for a couple of months that I'm ADHD, but my doctor refused to put me on the mdeication for ADHD because it's addicitive. When looking for natural options on the web for dealing with it, I happened upon fasting and EFAs as a potential solution. So, needless to say, a week ago, I began taking The Total EFA every morning and three days ago began this fast.

Anyone find that the fast helps on focus and concentration? If so, please give me details. This book gig (I have 5 of the 25 pages written) could really change my life significantly.

Enough for now....have to go put the laundry in the dryer.
