when we supplement, we are saying we know more than our bodies what they need. 99.9% of the time, i think it causes imbalances. i wouldnt rule out a benefit in a short term, but by keeping up the supplementation, you are actually creating a deficit of everything else you are NOT taking.
only whole, raw foods can supply your body with what your body needs in the proper form and the proper porportions and in a way which allows the body to select what it needs and eliminate the rest. live foods are best, fresh raw food is next, dried herbs and tinctures are last. everything else will simply clog up your system and cause further dysfunction.
as for the skin, it needs a clean liver so it is not having to do more of the eliminating than it is capable of and it needs water and oil for hydration and suppleness. a tablespoon of lecithin every night and putting a raw oil on your skin is what i would do. that and the Water Cure .
