Re: Can I do it while breastfeeding?
I have to say, I 100% agree with Baliboy on this! It is simply not worth ANY risk to your baby at such a crucial time in its development.
I also found an interesting section on
http://www.wikiapedia.com regarding breastfeeding: "Mothers can find breastfeeding helps them return to their previous weights as the fat accumulated during pregnancy is used in milk production." I'm not saying that breastfeeding will get you to your desired weight, but among its countless other benefits (for both you and your child) it does have it's own weight loss properties.
As far as storing breast milk ahead of time, I don't think that it could possibly be as healthy for your infant as freshly produced milk.
In the end, this is a decision that you must weigh and balance for yourself. But personally, I feel it is better to focus on healthy and uninterrupted breastfeeding for the natural duration of time. Afterward you can focus more fully on getting yourself back to the weight you would prefer.
Best of luck to you! (And congratulations on your new bundle of joy!!)
