It seems that way to me, yes, although there are very minor differences (the standard foods appear much the same). The US may have hotdogs, chilli dogs, pork scratching or whatever else, but "we" are no better with our battered fish, haggis, bread and butter puddings, etc, etc.

You may have already read this, but some Scottish folk (and I think it has spread into England) are rather keen on frying chocolate bars in batter; literally, "mars bar suppers"!
