...When you get going with the actual DOING of a new eating plan, it becomes second nature...normal; and you really begin to enjoy it.
There may be times in the near future when you feel inclined to eat some of your former foods, ones that aren't 'too toxic'. Perhaps some lightly home-cooked veggies will seem attractive, for example, or some other.
Don't blame yourself, no matter what you do about the urge. Instead, listen to your body, and try to understand. Read all you can.
And see what makes sense to you, Kevin.
That's what we all must do.
Your youth is on your side...you have resiliance...a wonderful thing; as is the maturity you are acquiring.
Sometimes the very best thing to do is to just 'ask', out loud, when you are by yourself. Make it a simple question; state it; then let it go.
Sometime soon after, a good answer will occur to you. (Mine came to me two days later, just before I awoke. It was a stunning experience.)
You can also make a statement to yourself...an affirmation. Be sure that any affirmation you make is reasonable, and clear. You don't want to attract unhappy results.
(One of my affirmations was, "I will remember every telephone number I need to remember, when I need to remember it." It worked! There is something about 18 hours to settle a new thought in your mind...just the same as studying for a test. I said the phone number statement twice on the day I tried it. Then, on the second day after, I was amazed that the number I needed jumped into my head when my hand was over the receiver. This talent has stayed with me ever since.)
Your sub-conscious mind knows all you need to know...or, it will find out...in ways that will amaze you.
That's why you are posting here. Did you know that?
Somewhere, somehow, the answers you need will appear. Relax and let them.
I admire that you are overcoming 'resistance' and 'aggitation/frustration' in your quest to be well and comfortable. You have come a long way.
Someday, you will be able to smile at detractors, and take their pronouncements as simply their opinions...as they are.
Go with what resonates with you...what makes very good sense to you.
