Hello - Ascaris larvae like to live in the lungs as do hookworm larvae. They hatch out and live in the lungs until they are big enough to be coughed up and swallowed in phlegm - they then travel to the digestive system to live as adults. They use the lungs as a safe "nursery". Not ALL ascaris and hookworms eggs are hatched out in the body - the other eggs are passed out in the stool.

Lung flukes are the ones that live in the lungs as adults. I hope this helps! Thank you!
