Re: Liver transplant & anti-rejection drugs
He is on "the list" right now. That means that at any moment the call could come. He's on the list somewhere in Cali., I don't remember where...
I'm sure that they're painting a rosy picture for him. They've even hooked him up with a "mentor", another transplant recipient & they've become friends.
He is really sick right now. He's been hospitalized 3 times in the last couple of months, one of those times to have his appendix removed. So, even though he's cleaned up his act, that makes me wonder if he hasn't been backsliding at least as far as diet goes.
Yeah, I heard about the face transplant woman. eeewww. I wonder if the dog was put down? Or has he been taken for "doggy therapy"? And I read that one of the first things she did was smoke a cigarette...
Anyway, my friend....I'm gonna give him a call tomorrow & see if he's open. See, he's been offered a "solution" with the transplant. A relatively quick "fix"(yeah, they're gonna fix him, alright).
I'm trying to be realistic. He's already in a weakened condition. Anything that I could offer now would involve rejecting the solution he's been offered. Realistically, I don't have great hope that that's gonna happen. That's why I was hoping(I knew it was unrealistic...) that there would be a way that he could work with the drugs, somehow.
Even though we have access to all this great knowledge, it is SO HARD to get others to "see".
