Na, can't help you there. I just try to stay away from any and all forms of Sugar now. I do have Sugar free candy that I'll have every once in a while, maybe a diet coke with caffine free.
As far goes as the salt intake, yes. Salt will cause you to bloat. I try to take in around 2400mgs a day (the daily rec value for a male). Sometimes it's more, depending on what I eat.
I'm not sure about mixing the water with Salt or not. I read Dr. Wilson book, and didn't see anything about that in there, but just 1 glass in the morning with 1/4-1/2 tsp of Sea Salt .
How are you on Exercise? do you find yourself even more tired if you push yourself?
