Re: How do you bring yourself to eating raw meat and eggs?

You are thinking too much -- are you a Virgo?! :) When the egg chirps and the beef moos, get worried.

I haven't seen much in the way of references to help here -- I read We Want To Live by Aajonus Vonderplanitz -- also, his Recipe For Living Without Disease -- great recipes. He advocates 40% RAW fats -- yummy raw cream, raw butter, raw cheese, raw milk and raw eggs -- with UNHEATED, RAW honey -- not unpasturized.

Milkshake: 2 eggs, about 2 oz. raw cream, 3 or 4 oz raw milk, 1 TBSP of raw, unheated honey and some fresh fruit -- you could add some nutmeg with some banana -- he suggests only 1/3 banana because he says that often people get 'high' on fruit. Blend -- it is SO delicious!

He has a Nut Butter recipe, green juices (with some carrot and unheated honey) -- these are his veggies; occasionally a baked potato if you need some cooked starch -- with LOTS of raw butter. He has meat recipes which I have not yet tried; I figure that I'll take care of one learning curve at a time.

Depending on where you live, you may or may not be able to get the raw dairy easily. Although pasturized dairy is off my list, raw dairy is easy to take and so delicious; I think that I sleep better when I have raw milk before bedtime -- the main season is over until Spring, but you can get these products shipped to you from in CA.

I have a local farmer from whom I purchase the unheated honey. This part of the diet I LOVE. Hmmmm -- have not got to the meat yet; I am still trying to get to rare; but, it is the raw that is important for the enzymes -- and the best is antibiotic-free, hormone-free, pasture-fed beef. However it is extremely important that you find a good book and read it and absorb the material.

He has a very interesting take on dehydration: he says that we are delipidated -- lacking in fats, not water. He drinks about 1 cup of water per week, does not work out (except for a lot of sex!) and is buff, looking at least ten years younger than his age -- the most common comment that I read about him is that his eyes are remarkably clear -- very rare to see these days -- he had a horrific experience with the medical people, who created his cancers, cannot now manufacture hydrochloric acid, was told that he could never eat raw food again -- but that is what he almost always eats.

His story is in novel form and is an easy read; he saved his son who had been in a horrific traffic accident, who was expected to die from his coma state; however, he is now a living, functioning computer technician, I believe. His publisher You can read the first five chapters of his book here You can get the book and a DVD by Jill Fox about recipes Raw dairy

Kindest thoughts.
