If anyone tells the truth the risk is taken that the other person might feel "belittled", might feel like the person telling them is "holier than thou". Do you think shame is a bad thing? I don't. I do agree with you that it is important how you tell someone something. But, if I tell you statistics, facts, belief in God and you tell me I'm acting holier than thou...that is just a matter of conscience. From what I can tell name calling is not permitted here so I don't understand what you mean by that.
If people feel dirty about something someone is telling them that they are doing wrong. That may just be your conscience. It's not like we are good. The conscience makes us feel dirty when we are told we are doing something wrong. So far, no one has made me feel that way here. If they did I might look within.
