Re: Scriptural Response to Birth Control

Mr. Wilson offers a selection of what he calls "Pro child verses."

Allow me this opportunity to offer a selection of, I guess, Anti child verses.

Deuteronomy 21:18-21 "If a man has a stubborn and rebellious son, who will not obey the voice of his father or the voice of his mother, and, though they chastise him, will not give heed to them, then his father and his mother shall take hold of him and bring him out to the elders of his city at the gate of the place where he lives, and they shall say to the elders of his city, `This our son is stubborn and rebellious, he will not obey our voice; he is a glutton and a drunkard.' Then all the men of the city shall stone him to death with stones; so you shall purge the evil from your midst; and all Israel shall hear, and fear."

Matthew 15:4 "For God commanded, saying, Honour thy father and mother: and, He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death."

2 Kings II 2:23 "And he went up from thence unto Bethel: and as he was going up by the way, there came forth little children out of the city, and mocked him, and said unto him, Go up, thou bald head; go up, thou bald head."

2:24 "And he turned back, and looked on them, and cursed them in the name of the LORD. And there came forth two she bears out of the wood, and tare forty and two children of them."

1 Samuel 15:3 "Thus saith the LORD: Slay both man and woman, infant and suckling."

Deuteronomy 2:33-34 "The LORD delivered them before us; and we destroyed the men, and the women, and the little ones."

Hosea 13:15 "The wind of the LORD shall come up from the wilderness, and his spring shall become dry, and Samaria shall become desolate, they shall fall by the sword: their infants shall be dashed in pieces, and their women with child shall be ripped up."

Psalm 137:9 "Happy shall he be, that taketh and dasheth thy little ones against the stones."

I know, I know, I'm taking them all out of context. But feel free to let me know why your interpretation of them is any more true than mine.
