Why don't you try a raw juice fast instead of water fasting? I ask because water fasting is an extremely harsh type of fasting because of the extreme detoxing of the body. That's why you feel so badly and why so many people abandon a water fast. It could also be why you have heart palpitations (toxins are flooding your blood).
With a juice fast, you will be losing the weight, quite rapidly because the juices will be feeding your body all the way down to the cellular level and as such, the body will gladly and gleefully release the fat. Good riddance I say! In addition, you won't lose muscle tone or get saggy skin because the juices are feeding your skin and muscles. Your skin will glow, your eyes will sparkle. People will be asking you what you're doing. The pounds will drop off and for the most part, they'll stay off, much much longer than they will stay off on a water fast.
Juice fasting gives you astounding energy, clarifcation of the mind, the uplifting of the spirit and it will detox the gunk, heal, and rebalance the imbalances. You'll sleep deeper, wake refreshed. The aches and pains will disappear. There are just far too many benefits to the raw juice fast to list here.
The juices are alive, full of enzymes and countless nutrition. When fasting on liquids, one must avoid dead foods which are bottled, store bought juices, milks, sodas (including all diet sodas, they are unadulterated poisons) which will harm the body and make one feel very badly while fasting. There is no way around this fact. When on liquid fasts, the foods should be alive, such as raw veggie juices, energized waters and herbal teas. They calm the nerves, feed the body, heal the system, all the while knocking off the fat.
