on breaking the fast

break a fast carefully!
general rule of thumb is:
however long you fasted should take you about 1/3 of that time
to gradually rewean back to solid food in a progression of food choices.

these normally follow a pattern of:
-juice only
-followed by light fruit or steamed fruit
-then brothes with a few pcs veggies
-then starches and veggies
-lastly proteins.

consider your stomache like as if a new baby after you fast,
and gradualy build up. To do otherwise may cause your system harm, and also undo the wonderful benefits of your fast.

TO AVOID WEIGHT GAIN AND DISCOMFORT I GATHERED THIS INFO:

-break your fast with juice 1/7 of the time you fasted.
(i.e. 2 week fast=2 days juice)

-wean yourself back onto food using 1/3 of the time you
fasting to start eating again

-first start with fruit, then veggies, breads, protiens last.
not all in the same meal at once. phase it in to your diet.

-eat very lightly the first month after your fast as your
metabolism will be slow. stick to raw fruits and veggies
mainly. steamed veggies are ok. avoid overcooked foods,
carbohydrates/starches.
