I finished a 22 day juice fast about 3 weeks ago. I havn't done long term water fasting...but I have read that some people with fast metabolisms don't respond well to extended water fasts. I would recommend alternating juice fasting with Water Fasting until you reach your goal. It is pretty hard to stay bedridden for 21 days. I tried Water Fasting for 2 days in a row on my juice fast and felt like I was dying. I could barely move. Either break the Water Fast and continue with healthy eating, or try alternating the juice and water. Your body is obviously requiring a slower detox. Sweet juices in small quantities will help tremendously. I loved apple carrot pear ginger juice. YUMMY. Here's the recipe: 1 Apple, 2 Carrots, 1 Pear, 1 inch piece of fresh ginger. Good luck, and try the juice, I lost 16 lbs. in 22 days.
