I am sorry but 4 days is quite amazing! why beat yourself up about it? most people dont get past day 1 but you made it to day 4! good for you!!!!!!
One of the biggest problems on making a goal is that we make them unattainable. while we want to challenge ourselves we often put ourselves in a position where we can easily fail. How many people do you know that can do an extende fast their first try? Very few. Detox is a BIG factor in quitting the fast. It can bing on headaches and lots of emotions, even the flu! it is difficult to detox and not go through emotional junk.
Also another Big factor is getting rid of bad habits that we had to get us fat in the first place! fasting is a wonderful way to detox and to change our habits. Habits are HARD to break! But we keep trying!
We must remember that just wanting to do something is very nice but to make a commitment to something is something very extraordinary. If you make a commitment to something it is more than just wanting it is is wanting to live it. If you make the commitment to better health and fall off the wagon, GOOD! what lessons can we learn then? These small set backs are our learning experiences and from them we get to success!
Maybe setting smaller Goals for yourself would be a better idea? what about doing a 2 day fast? and if you get through that do a 3 day? or 4 day... You can fast a few days every week as well. and have VERY light meals in between. You will still lose weight, maybe a little slower but it will come off and you will ease yourself off of the bad habits in your life and gain some good ones! Maybe in a month or two of small fasts you can work your way into an extended fast.
